WoW NoW Sequins Collection

Sequins are all the rage this festive holiday, and all over Etsy, that I found it difficult to focus on one outfit. So, I solved the challenge by choosing one collection and four outfits which I will post every other day.

Outfit of the Week 11: Line Dancing

Line dancing is not a dance I am good at. I have few and far chances to line dance. Whether I am line dancing to country music or rap music, I can’t get the steps. I’m usually the dancer who is one step behind, or two steps ahead, or three slides somewhere else, and about to get stepped on from every direction. So…

Cowboy Boots:  Now, if I had these amazing red and black cowboy boots on my feet, I wouldn’t mind getting lost in the music. I could just stare at my feet instead of the other dancers’ feet. Made in Brazil, these pretty boots will be with me (or you) for a very long time, because they will be my (or your) favorite boots to wear.

Cropped Jacket:  Yes, I know I will get hot line dancing in this stunning motif and fringed jacket.  However, to keep my sweat from funkin’ up the jacket, I will wear the jacket into the bar, or the wedding reception hall and place it on the back of the chair, and then go dancing. When I have finished dancing, and I am freezing from the air conditioner, then I will put on the jacket and be warm. Later, I will walk out into the cool autumn air and be warm again, while I am thinking about how great I looked on the dance floor when I slid across the floor in an imaginary in-step beat.

Turtleneck Sweater:  SOLD! Since I can’t take off this charming lambswool and Angora mixed turtleneck sweater, and risk being arrested for frightening the bar patrons or reception guests, I will have to leave on this warm sweater and dance anyway. Besides, if I take off the sweater, then no one will be able to see the wonderful pleated detail at the shoulder when I move my shoulders to the beat.

Leatherette Mini Skirt  All eyeballs will, of course, be upon me when I wear this gorgeous stitched embroidered leatherette mini skirt. It’s made of stretch material, so that when I move my body into sexy dance positions on the floor, the skirt will move as well. Outfit of the Week 2: Summer White and Black

Kicking off this week’s Outfit of the Week series, I thought I would do something different. In addition to the Etsy links, I have also posted the photos with permission from most of the vendors. The photos add a well-rounded, catalog feel to the posting. I have been thinking about the series all week, so much so, that instead of one outfit, I am presenting three outfits only for this weekend beginning with Summer White and Black.

Summer White and Black outfit begins with a pretty vintage white knit sweater by Etsy Vintage Vendor,  EpsilonVintage.  A soft chainlink design across the top and bottom of the sweater accentuates the scalloped neckline and hem. The tie-waist and the gathered pleats at the shoulder make this quite a unique sweater.  It will keep you warm on the coolest summer days.

A black and white patchwork tiered design of diamonds, flowers, and paisleys sparked an interest for this pretty 100 % cotton skirt. Catch the summer breezes walking down main street and watch the heads turn, as well. Etsy Designer, Janelizabeths.  SOLD!  However, she has other pretty skirts.

The Summer White and Black outfit can be dressed down or dressed up. I chose to dress it up with a pair of delightful black patent leather Vintage Ci Ranno Mary Jane shoes with a two-inch heel. Jewelry and makeup always put the finishing touches on a well-dressed woman. Shimmerin’ and swingin’ from the ear is a pair of contemporary and handmade “Black Swarovski Crystal Chandelier Earrings” SOLD!  by Etsy Jewelry Designer, FindingCharm. Pay close attention to these earrings. The “black glass bicones” and the rounded “black glass balls” sitting atop and below “silver slides” accentuates the diamonds and the flowers of the above tiered skirt. It’s a perfect combination!
